please continue to be relentless in this work! Your work, understanding of law, and inspiring words to those with open ears are invaluable! Wish WI was a state that had this, but anything that will result in VISIBILITY, CONSEQUENCES, and RESULTS could provide some momentum and ACCOUNTABILITY !

You and your IQ of 250 started this! (Fortunately, lol.) I just saw an opinion recently that the only way forward is state action. We keep calling, writing and showing up. So many thanks, as always.😊

Of the six states, five are red and only one (New Mexico) is blue, and there are 23 Blue States and not one of them has opened and investigation, though asked.

Now why could that be. I would like to assume good faith, but that is increasingly hard to do, so I am left with the three C's, Cowardly, corrupt, complicit. Including our most bloviating governors who love a microphone and a TV camera but shy away from actually doing anything of real significance. Looking at you Newsom, Pritzer, Shapiro, Moore z" alligator mouths, humming bird asses,

Christopher Armitage's avatar

I agree with your assessment. This is a route for at a minimum putting some more heat to the pot and who knows, maybe the water starts boiling.

William Farrar's avatar

You and I share the same Governor, I get weekly missives in my inbox, about the great things he is doing, but not one with any real political significance. Fergie seems to be very hesitant at taking on Trump and his regime, despite the fact that we and assumedly countless others have written and asked him to.

Christopher Armitage's avatar

They will be more inclined to listen once it feels like electoral consequences are imminent. That's part of why we need a combination of individual persistence combined with consensus building for more folks to join in.

I keep pressing on AG here in California.

William Farrar's avatar

Ihope it works, but don't hold out hope. AG's have bigger political apsirations. Most are lawyers, that can't earn a living, if they could they wouldn't be politicians, and they use political office as a stepping stone. Governors think that they can be Presidents, Senators are usually content until they come to the end of their political life, then want to become president. AG's seek to become Goveernors.

I don't look forward to the 2028 presidential race, if there will be one that is, losers like Kamrala and Newsom, Shapiro, Moore, Pritzker all have thrown their hat in the ring, but equivocate, then there are maleficients like Rahm Emanuel, the worst thing that has happened to the Democratic party, and poor folk..He called progressives, fucking retards, but thinks, with good cause, that we have short memory spans, or that he can ride into office by being "I ain't MAGA"

Italien's avatar

Oh, I agree. Our AG tends to slap hands. I’ve been livid about some of the fraud cases that should have been criminal…as far as a real leader for 2028, I’m not seeing it either..

William Farrar's avatar

What state Italien? Sadly there is no person of character and courage in the Democratic party that I can see. Some one with a spotless record, no chance of a sex or financial scandal, one that has name recognition and charisma..Someone like say, Talacrico if he becomes a Senator.

I am an atheist, but don't mind a Christian or a Muslim, so long as they share my values and are not religious extremists.

Italien's avatar

California, William. Word was they didn’t run our AG (Bonta) for governor because there was potentially shady stuff. I know that there was some scandal involving his wife, but I don’t recall the particulars. I harangue him because some of the settlements that have been made involving fraud have been egregious, imo. I know of one business that should have been shut down and and people jailed. This wasn’t a large business which would have affected employees. It was approximately three people running a scam. They were allowed to keep the business operating with a substantial fine. But that fine was payable over many years. To me, this is not acceptable. I don’t know what transpires when people get into power. They forget they’re public servants..?

M ML's avatar

Rahm is also trying to say is anti Israel. That's even scarier.

William Farrar's avatar

Rahm is addressing reality, after all he has thrown his hat in the ring for Presidency. He has criticized Netanyahu, that his behavior is hurting Israel. Thus he has called for a halt to the unconditional military support of Israel, but has said nothing about the $3.8 billion foreign aid, we give Israel yearly.

Rahm made his aliyah and served in the IDF, and is a citizen of Israel and the U.S.

How do you consume an elephant? The same way as an apple, one bite at a time. The process is the same no matter the size.

For those sick and tired of seeing democracy circling the drain and can't figure out what to do, this is your best opportunity to take a bite. Lead the way so others may follow in other states to find state law that takes a bite out of the elephant. ( just a reminder, the GOP's symbol is an elephant).

Christopher Armitage's avatar

Absolutely agreed

William Darian Boggs's avatar

Good point. At the risk of beating a dead elephant and mixing metaphors:

1. It takes a village to eat an elephant.

2. You need experts to know the difference between tusk and meat.

The most useful discoveries come from one word, T R Y. Without it, I wouldn't be reading your comment on a wireless device. It certainly won't be published in a newspaper. You know that thing people paid for daily that was real paper and ink.

So all the baddies are Republicans…. riiiight!

Partisanship only ensures that they β€œsystem” continues as it always has and simply changes horses mid race when a new imperialist Empire supporting mainstream adminstration from the β€œopposition” party takes over. The donors/owners who are directing the horse of state don't change.

Neither mainstream party differ with respect to the Israel lobby, or with respect to the use of the military industrial arms selling syndicate we call a”defense” industry. You know the CIA, NSA, DSA et al aren't doing good or moral things around the world, just as you know collective punishment through the sanctioning and economic coercion of populations led by vassals of the empire is evil and has caused more death and hardship than DOGE ever will.

Neither party when in power took any substantive action to pursue the Epstein class, and it wasn't simply about bad Republicans that solely were in a position to do something… and all of you know that! Just like you know Black Lives matters, the push to bring accountability to wall street and all third party movements are squashed primarily by Democrats cosplaying as Socialists guarding the left flank of imperialism.

The things I pointed out are only a few of the glaring indicators of the bipartisan corruption of the American political system. You can play your games and pretend you're actually doing something, like you're actually human beings with ethics and a sense of humanity for those that don't look like you or worship as you do, but everyone not in your partisan club can see the lie.

Haley's avatar

That is an astute and objective observation!

M.Wilson's avatar

When the average American knows so little about how the relationship between the executive branch and legislation branch work it's no wonder inaccurate accusations are thrown. Whoever takes into a account a Democrat president has limited executive power when staying within the rules plus can only sign what is passed by a republican Senate and house held majority or veto. Legislation can still be put into effect if vetoed with a two thirds majority vote in the House and Senate. When the people don't benefit, the president gets the blame. Same with a republican president with a republican House but requires a democratic held majority of the Senate to pass. Be honest, how many citizens read the entire bill? They base opinion on which party is holding up their political parties legislation.

With a 2 party system looking back in this lifetime span from Reagan, the republican party has held all 3 branches and a combination of 2 out of 3 the majority of the time. Comparing legislation that addresses both protecton or needs of citizens through social programs, environmental, labor, capitolism, etc the republicans come up short. Bipartisan legislation that is later amended for deletions or revoked goes in the minus column. Maybe that's why they feel picked on.

Then there is a very important part few know there role and invisible in the blame game. That is the committees that aren't always bipartisan and there purpose.

Congressional committees are specialized legislative sub-organizations that manage the extensive workload of the U.S. Congress. Their primary functions are to consider and draft proposed legislation, conduct public hearings, provide oversight of federal agencies and executive branch operations, and investigate matters of national concern.

The work of these committees is broadly broken down into four core functions:

Considering Legislation: Lawmakers review the thousands of bills introduced each session, holding expert hearings, debating, and voting to recommend the best legislation to the full House or Senate.Conducting Oversight: Committees monitor the performance and spending of federal agencies, holding government officials accountable and ensuring laws are executed as intended.

Investigating Issues: They hold hearings to investigate suspected wrongdoings, scandals, or pressing national problems to draft appropriate policy fixes.

Confirming Nominations: Specific committees in the Senate are responsible for thoroughly vetting and voting on the President's judicial, cabinet, and executive appointments.

To handle this broad scope of responsibilities, Congress utilizes a few different types of committees.

1. Democrats have dropped the ball on some key issues and giving there unequal time at bat is no excuse.

2. With so much money entering politics and relaxed and/or omitted rules while running for and in office it has bred unethical representation on both sides of the aisle.

THANK YOU CHRISTOPHER,

Jerry Springer is dead and the DNA said Christopher Colombus was not Italian but a Jew like Jerry Springer looking to escape the Spanish Inquisition. In 1535 Henry told Thomas More Anglo-Saxon would-be England's tongue not Latin or Greek. I am 78 years old and Asperger's Syndrome and my heart did not go pitter patter learning the world's first trillionaire is as autistic as I am. I was seven with a genius in logic and a PhD vocabulary when the Protestant School Board of Greater Montreal told my Jewish parents I was slothful when I tried the best I could. I was very lucky my parents were not Germanic in following orders.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34ag4nkSh7Q

I was 18 when Jewish Vocational Services of Montreal told me the truth. I was retarded and intellectually challenged but I know ROCKET SCIENCE rather well and Elon Musk is an engineer not a scientist. We will all be dead for thousands of years before SpaceX is profitable but Misnagdic Judaism is not Hocus Pocus European mythology. I saw much talk of Clarence Darrow this week and the Clarence Darrow Bridge is near the Obama Museum. Clarence Darrow lost to William "Cross of Gold" Jennings Bryan in a courtroom in Tennessee. Noah is still taught from pre-school to the grave. Jesus said "The truth can set you free." Jesus was a Jew not a Roman like the blood thirsty founder of Christianity and his bloody cross. Darwin is 21st century scientific theory (Socratic Method) and the Nikolai Tesla Academy of Jungle Survival is no longer a public concern in Illinois or Quebec. In Quebec however democracy is alive and well and healthcare, education and welfare are human rights because that is our only hope for a better future where we are our brother's keeper.
