Professional conduct rules are becoming a dead letter: still on the books, never enforced against those in power. A federal judge found a presumptively vindictive prosecution in the Abrego Garcia case, and 101 former judges asked the New York bar to investigate Blanche. Meanwhile DOJ has proposed giving the attorney general first review of bar complaints against DOJ lawyers, including the ones against him. The bar did act on Giuliani, but only after he was out of power and years after the conduct. "Without fear or favor" can't mean discipline arrives only once you've lost your office. That's just favor with a delay.

Judges have police power, it would be helpful if one, just one - would use it to incarcerate one of these attorneys that habitually ignore their orders.
